Devin M Lurie President and CEO of Elite Restoration & Construction Services has been in the property restoration industry for more than 20 years. He owned and operated a successful company he established in 2001, then was acquired in 2015 by the second largest restoration company in the nation. Devin has taken his more than 20 years of experience and developed a proven process that is highly effective in delivering cutting edge restoration techniques, responsible claim management, technology deployment, construction planning & project management, and most important, the customer’s experience.

Elite Restoration & Construction Services is certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning Restoration Certification) in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire & smoke cleaning. Elite Restoration & Construction Services is licensed by the CSLB (California State License Board) in B-1 General Building and C-33 Painting & Decorating. Additionally, Elite Restoration is certified by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) RRP Lead Renovation.

The President: Devin Lurie Biography

Devin M Lurie was born in Glendale CA in 1976. At the age of 14 his family moved to Orange County. After graduating from high school in 1995, he worked for a restoration construction company as a painter apprentice. The experience provided him with the opportunity to master his craft and he eventually became a journeyman professional painter after two years. The learnings he acquired at work influenced his interest in project management and soon after, he began to manage project activities with exceptional skills. He continued to work with his employer in the next two years but always dreamt of having his very own company someday.

His aspiration brought to life Empire Construction & Technologies, a restoration company he established at the young age of 23. Serving as its CEO and President, Devin’s hands-on knowledge and passion enabled him to build an unrivalled reputation in the insurance contracting industry. His business principles centered on honesty, respect, dependability, fairness, quality, accuracy, and excellent customer service.

Empire Construction joined Contractor Connection in 2006 resulting in the company’s accreditation with the group’s major insurance carrier accounts. Through this affiliation, Devin’s company became well-known and garnered prestigious awards in service from top insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs). The company received various awards in service including the “Excellence in Achievement” Award for 12 consecutive years since 2007. It was a significant milestone that placed the company as one of the top 200 contractors among a network of more than 5,000 nationwide. Furthermore, Empire Construction also became a recipient of the coveted Western District Award in 2009, 2014, and 2018. In 2015 and 2017, the firm was also recognized by USAA Insurance for its Excellent Member Service Award.

Devin became a member of the Contractor Connection’s advisory panel wherein he collaborated with company executives to enhance the network’s programs and activities. He also served on the Nationwide Insurance Contractor Advisory Group (NICAG) from 2011 to 2014. The NICAG is a national focus group of contractors and insurance executives who meet annually to review and update policies and procedures and work on program enhancements.

Banking on the success of his company, Devin sold Empire Construction to the second largest national restoration firm in the US in 2015. However, he remained as the sitting president of the company for five years during which he opened two new locations and worked at tripling its annual revenue from the time it started. Recently, Devin established a new venture, Elite Restoration and Construction Services, which will be the greatest and largest accomplishment of his professional career.

Being one of the key movers of the industry, and seeking to discover new methods of performing water mitigation and mold remediation, pushing the boundaries of what can be restored versus replaced, constantly striving to reduce cycle times, and efficiently managing claims, Devin continues to endeavor to deliver the best customer experience in the industry.

Devin M Lurie holds California State licenses in General Building, Painting & Finishes, IICRC Certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Mold Remediation, and Fire & Smoke Cleaning, EPA RRP Certification, and CAL OSHA Health & Safety.
